Newgrange is a prehistoric monument located in County Meath, Ireland. Built around 3200 BC, it predates the Egyptian pyramids and Stonehenge, making it one of the oldest known ceremonial sites in the world. Newgrange is a large, circular mound, surrounded by a stone wall, and features a passage tomb at its center. The structure is famous for its alignment with the winter solstice, when sunlight illuminates the inner chamber through a narrow passage, creating a spectacular display. The mound is believed to have been used for ritualistic and burial purposes by Neolithic people. Newgrange is a UNESCO World Heritage site and remains a significant archaeological and cultural landmark in Ireland.
